FAQs about fees

What discounts are available?

• If you begin treatment within one month of consultation we will refund the £60 adult consultation fee.
• We also offer 10% discount if any of your family are treated at the same time – or within five years.

What's included in the price?

All prices (except those for removable plate braces) include treatment of upper and lower jaws if needed. We don't charge per jaw.

Prices include:

• Provision of appliances to move teeth
• Extractions necessary to relieve crowding
• Records taken before, during and after treatment
• Any laboratory fees incurred to make removable braces
• All clinical and admin costs connected with treatment
• Two sets of vacuum-formed retainers after treatment
• Any visits necessary for supervision of retention for one year after tooth movements are complete
• Complementary tooth whitening.

Prices do NOT include:

• Charges for missed appointments
• Charges for multiple breakages to fixed appliances
• Charges for replacement removable braces and additional retainers
• Call out charges for treatment outside normal working hours.

Refund Policy

Valley Orthodontics strives to provide top service and a great clinical result for all our patients. In the case of discontinued treatment a refund may be offered for the proportion of treatment not carried out. Similarly, if something happened to your orthodontist and they were unable to finish your treatment, we would offer you a proportional refund and help you find another specialist to continue your treatment.  

The refund will not correspond to the fraction of time elapsed since the start of treatment as we incur a large proportion of costs at the beginning, covering lab fees, materials, time and administration.  Once this start up cost is covered, the remaining amount is calculated as proportion of the time elapsed since the brace was fitted compared to the time estimated for completion.

Patients who have opted to pay using the credit facility may choose to cancel their agreement. There is a £28.50 charge for this and the credit company will cease to collect further monthly instalments. However, the value of the monthly payments paid up to cancellation may not cover the value of our start up costs and treatment to date. In this case we will invoice patients for this residual amount owing.
